top genetics for the Boran Community to expand their herd with a bonus on a great feed turnover to weight at minimum cost

BFT Borane is located in East Griekwaland near Kokstad.
BFT Borane started in 2007 with a upbreeding program out of commercial crossed cattle only using registered SP Boran Bulls on the herd. Since 2014 we have had the privilege to start a consistent breeding program with Simeon Hurwitz from Hurwitz Farming.
We have one breeding season for the stud cattle:
Boran heifers
Bulls going in on 1 November to 1 February with Boran heifers.
Boran cows
Bulls going in on 15 November to 15 February with Boran cows.
Calving
Calving starts the beginning of August and ending in November.
Weaning
Weaning in April.
